Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30
Sibelius Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 43

With his expansive lyricism, rare musical intelligence and boundless virtuosity, pianist Yefim Bronfman finds in Rachmaninov’s celebrated Piano Concerto No. 3 a work equal to his talents, and an opportunity for a thrilling dialogue with the Lyon orchestra and its Music Director. To bring this highlight at La Grange to a close, we return to Sibelius with a symphony imbued with the colours of eternal Italy.
